I’m always on the lookout for information that helps me to feel good about what I’m eating. I collect recipes that inspire me to eat healthier and overall allow me to feel good about what I’m eating. I stumbled upon an article about actress Jennifer Garner’s diet, which led me to her holistic nutritionist, Kelly LeVeque, the author of Body Love: Live in Balance, Weigh What You Want, and Free Yourself from Food Drama Forever.
Ms. LeVeque discusses her strategy for healthy eating. She implements a diet that includes “the fab four” into meals, which she says are protein, healthy fat, fiber, and greens. Who doesn’t love something that includes the word fab, anyway?
I eat these foods every day, however, I do not eat red meat, so protein is a little harder for me to include in my meals when I’m cooking chicken and beef for my family. I eat fish and shrimp occasionally, and beans, seeds, eggs, and avocados as much as I can. Ms. LeVeque’s website, BeWellByKelly, has many great recipes to try. Check them out!
I’m not as informed about foods that are rich in fiber. So I researched lists to help me to implement more into my diet. Here are some informative list links to help you understand which foods to include if you are interested in this “fab four” balance.
My days are filled with writing, exercise, working with small children, and taking care of my household. I need the fuel to help me accomplish high-energy tasks in one day. I’m super excited to try this new balance to help me keep my energy going!
